You will provide the secure and reliable IT foundation behind a fast-moving Deep Tech company. By improving infrastructure, identity, collaboration services, security and operational governance, you will directly enable engineering and business teams to work efficiently while supporting the company’s growth and increasing technological maturity.

The mission
Take ownership of the company’s IT environment and ensure that it is secure, reliable, maintainable and scalable. The role covers infrastructure, cloud and on-premise systems, identity and access management, security, monitoring, backup and recovery, documentation and IT operational governance.
Job details
• Take ownership of the company IT infrastructure and operational environment.
• Maintain and improve cloud and on-premise systems and services.
• Ensure availability, reliability, maintainability and security of IT services.
• Manage identity and access management, including SSO, MFA, Conditional Access and privileged access.
• Administer or supervise Microsoft Entra ID and related identity technologies.
• Administer or supervise Google Workspace, including users, groups, Gmail, Drive, sharing policies, security settings and account lifecycle management.
• Manage technical identities, certificates, secrets and access rights.
• Apply infrastructure and system hardening practices and contribute to IT security policies.
• Maintain monitoring, alerting, backup, restoration and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Manage IT incidents and maintain documented recovery procedures.
• Maintain architecture, operating procedures and runbooks.
• Coordinate external IT providers and suppliers, and ensure appropriate knowledge transfer.
Key deliverables
• Current-state and target IT architecture documentation with clear ownership of systems and services.
• Governed identity and access model covering Microsoft Entra ID, SSO/MFA and privileged access.
• Operational Google Workspace administration and documented user / group / sharing policies.
• Monitoring and alerting coverage for critical IT services.
• Tested backup, restore and disaster-recovery procedures.
• Documented incident, access, recovery and operating procedures / runbooks.
• Structured management of external IT suppliers and knowledge transfer to the internal team.
Performance indicator
• Availability and reliability of critical IT services.
• Incident volume, resolution time and recurrence of known operational issues.
• Timeliness and accuracy of user access provisioning, modification and deprovisioning.
• Successful execution of backup restoration and disaster-recovery tests.
• Coverage and closure of identified security, hardening and access-control gaps.
• Completeness and currency of IT documentation and runbooks.
• Quality of provider management, service continuity and internal knowledge transfer.

Required qualifications, experience, and skills
We are looking for a senior, hands-on IT professional who enjoys operating, securing and continuously improving a company’s IT environment in a fast-moving environment.
IT Infrastructure & Operations — essential: Strong, hands-on experience managing and improving corporate IT infrastructure and operations. Ability to balance day-to-day operational excellence with longer-term infrastructure improvements.
Identity & Access Management — essential: Solid expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, SSO, OIDC/SAML, MFA, Conditional Access, privileged access and account governance. Strong understanding of identity, authentication and access-control principles.
Google Workspace — required: Practical experience or good familiarity with Google Workspace administration and related collaboration tools.
Linux — required: Strong knowledge of Linux environments and systems administration.
Cloud Infrastructure — required: Experience operating and securing cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS and/or OCI.
Hybrid Environments — desirable: Experience managing environments combining cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
Networking & Security — required: Good understanding of networking, authentication, certificates, infrastructure security and system hardening.
Monitoring, Backup & Disaster Recovery — required : Experience setting up and operating monitoring, alerting, backup, restore and disaster recovery processes. Familiarity with tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Veeam, Velero, or equivalent solutions.
Documentation & IT Governance — required: Ability to establish clear operating procedures, runbooks and ownership models, and to maintain high-quality, up-to-date technical documentation.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management — required: Ability to manage external IT providers and build effective relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
CISO Experience — a plus: Previous experience as a CISO, particularly within a startup or high-growth technology company, would be an advantage.
DevOps & Development Infrastructure — a plus: Experience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible or development infrastructure would be beneficial, but is not required.
